A secure bracelet, link by link.

Over years of wear, the pins and tubes that join each link wear down, and the bracelet stretches and sags. Re-pinning replaces the worn parts so the links fit closely again.

  1. Assess the bracelet for stretch, wear and loose links
  2. Dismantle the bracelet and inspect each pin, tube and screw
  3. Replace worn pins, tubes or screws as required
  4. Check the clasp and how it fastens
  5. Clean and reassemble the bracelet
  6. Size the bracelet to your wrist on request

If links are worn beyond re-pinning, the team discusses the options, including laser repair, before any work begins.

Ask our watchmakers
How do I know my bracelet needs re-pinning?

Common signs are a bracelet that hangs loosely or looks stretched, visible gaps between the links, a rattling sound, or a clasp that no longer sits flat.

Is re-pinning the same as resizing?

No. Resizing adds or removes links to change the length. Re-pinning replaces the worn parts inside the links so the bracelet is tight and secure again. Both can be done at the same visit.

Can you re-pin older bracelets?

Often, yes. Older bracelets need particular care, so the team assesses what is possible and discusses it with you first.

What will bracelet re-pinning cost?

Costs depend on the bracelet and the parts required. Following an assessment, the team explains the estimate so you can decide how to proceed.

How long will it take?

Timing depends on the bracelet and the parts needed. An estimated completion time is given after inspection.
